"In 2018 'Sacred'- the debut album from Kuroi Ame, the collaborative project from Pure Life co-founders Panta Rhei and CMD094, was released on Pure Life Records and has since become regarded as one of the classics of the Dreampunk genre.5 years later we release this collection of alternative versions, unreleased b sides and rarities made around the time of release. These tracks give further insight into the creative process and sonic experimentation we conducted in the first years of the project.
The project was originally conceived as a soundtrack project, therefore early versions of the tracks reflect this style. Some are recognisable, others less so, as they evolved into what would eventually be released on the album.
As well as being our debut release as Kuroi Ame, 'Sacred' was the reason we formed Pure Life Records in the first place, therefore the release will always have a special significance to us."
