Album Info
Release Date: 1989Hardcard inner sleeve.
As the front- and back cover design, both sides of the insert and therein printed Mute records catalogue numbers 1MUTE80T & 2MUTE80T indicate this LP is a compilation of both Laibach - Sympathy For The Devil, and Laibach - Sympathy For The Devil II 12"s.
Despite what the sleeve and labels say, the track listing is incorrect and so are some of the times:
Track A4 is actually an edit of 300,000 V.K - Sympathy For The Devil (Soul To Waste) (Instrumental) and not Germania - Sympathy For The Devil (Who Killed The Kennedys) (Instrumental) as listed. It is the same exact track found on the Sympathy For The Devil 3-track picture disc, also labeled incorrectly there.
Track B4 is listed as Laibach / Slavko Avsenik J.R - Sympathy For The Devil, but it is really just the standard mix of Laibach's Sympathy For The Devil, which Slavko collaborated with Laibach on. On Slavko Avsenik Jr.'s site, he lists his work on Sympathy For The Devil as "co-arr., co-prog., co-prod."
The track Germania - Sympathy For The Devil (Who Killed The Kennedys) (Instrumental) which is listed on the inner sleeve does not appear on this release at all.
