"It's all in the reflexes".. is an instrumental beat tape inspired by too many SCSI Disks lying around the BYO Studios. Dumped out of the 2000XL and arranged in Logic, with Big Trouble In Little China samples peppered throughout to take you on a hour long journey. Some beats are clunky, some beats are snippets. Some bass lines are not quite in key, some chops are not truncated exactly, but some beats are fucking perfect.
These beats vintage are from 10 years ago and are up to 2020. Some beats are from Sean B's SCSI Disks collection which I was lucky to scoop up before he moved to Melbourne. I didn't load up his sequences, just the sounds and chopped them up as if I had an endless crate of records to create from. The project was overseen by Simplex who cleaned up and mixed the 70 plus beats to work together as one.
