The German Heavy-/ Glam Metal band Leather Mistress was founded in Munich back in the year 1981. Their influences lay somewhere between Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Mötley Crue and many more. Great sound, devoted stage outfits and their characteristic gogo-dancer, the Leather Mistress itself, who exactly knew how to Turn On The Heat in the crowd, were the guarantee for every live show to be a real Night Of Delight!
Although everything seemed to be perfect, the band has split up somewhere half of the Eighties, the musicians went their own ways and the music was forgotten in the Heavy Metal scene...
...until Tatjana Menk re-discovered them in old Metal Hammer (#10, 1984) and was lucky enough to find a rare tape on the web with three songs that were recorded in a studio in 1983 (or probably 1984 as we found out later). She was able to contact Werner, one of the founding members and together with Headbangers Records and Big Bad Wolf Records it was possible to make those great headbanging songs made in the glory days of Heavy Metal available again for all those fans of German/European Metal out there!
