It was house music that decided LesDupont to produce music. With house, it became possible to create music, in complete freedom and originality, without studios and artistic directors (although Les Dupont finally worked with them at Polygram, at least for a time). With its magic and simplicity, Infinity by Guru Josh perfectly illustrates this hedonistic and creative spirit. When it was released in 1989, most DJs did not appreciate this track because of its saxophone, but Mike Pickering, DJ at the Haçienda, made it a great Manchester/acid house anthem.
Paul Walden (Guru Josh) died on December 27, 2016. RIP Guru.
