Didier Blasco and Louis-Frédéric Apostoly began working together in 1991 as founding members of the definitive intelligent dance music group Les Dupont. They proceeded to break barriers and preconceived ideas of what music had become. The freedom of expression within music and sound seemed to have been lost. The formulas and categories were too rigid and sterile. Les Dupont believe the strength of music and sound lies in its ability to trigger intellectual. Emotional and physical responses. Enjoyable on many levels. There are no set rules to how synthesizers are played or how sampled voices are used. Their knowledge of applied techniques and effects on sound and patterns has been utilized by them for specific effect when recording or playing live. Reflections represent some Les Dupont’s work from 1995-2006. Nine tracks from the first albums, embracing their musical diversity as an introduction to those who may not have known their previous work.
