Carte Noire, perhaps their boldest release to date, comes from improvisations recorded during the studio sessions for their 2013 album Carte blanche. Andrew Creeggan, who produced the award-winning 2013 recording, also produced this newest project. Throughout the album’s ten tracks, we can hear echoes of progressive rock as well as the controlled chaos of electronic music. Les Païens play each of these cards to unsettle long-time fans and entertain other daredevils.
