Original linear notes from the digital release:

Once upon a time there was the ‘Less Is More trio’ - now, with the addition of Bálint Bolcsó on live electronics, there is ‘Less Is More 4’. With Bálint having already been a vital part of the ‘In LimBo’ live album released last year on Prepost Records, ‘Do the LimBo’ is the first formal recording by the quartet, seeing the acoustic sounds of Oli Mayne (vibraphone), Ernő Hock (double bass) and Zsolt Sárvári Kovács (drums) transformed into new soundworlds by Bálint’s electronic manipulations and transformations.

The album features a combination of 100% live collective improvisations and pre-written (but never rehearsed) themes. Recorded in a pop-up studio created in the children’s room at the Hock family home in the hills of Pilisszentlászló, Hungary, ‘Do The Limbo’ also includes a track (‘Do The Blimo’) taken from a live performance at Lumen, Budapest which is the venue where the band has performed the most over the years.

In contrast to the raw recordings found on ‘In Limbo’, ‘Do the LimBo’ has been studio-enhanced by Dávid Tamás Pap with ideas also from Ernő Hock, helping to transform the quartet’s already mind-blowing sounds into something even more otherworldly.

A truly unique sound which will appeal to fans of free improvised jazz as well as live electronica, experimental soundscapes and musique concrète.
