"I started writing Soul Examination in 2017 during the 10th year anniversary of my only deployment to Iraq.

Immediately after high school in 2007, I enlisted as a medic in the United States Air Force where my full-time job was "catching babies" on a Birthing Center for four years, except for those months deployed to Iraq working in an inpatient theatre hospital taking care of blown up and masticated humans, products of war.

There is no describing the droning, haunting sounds of a mother grieving the loss of her child or the cries of a young American soldier who lost both of his arms to an EID blast...this is the human condition twisted and contorted into a path of utter soul destruction, and this madness must be looked at from within otherwise it will eat you whole.

This album is a reflective motorik meditation of that crazy fucking period of time and a human expression of trying to process grief, fear, pain, and love all at once whilst staying connected to humanity and also your own soul. I hope you understand and appreciate this journey that so many have taken on but cannot truly express in words.
