Reissue with later DIDX code font & barcode in matrix/runout.This is a live recording of the show's run recorded between May 28 - June 18, 1987.
The original title of the show is "3 Weeks At Carnegie Hall".
This release carries both titles on the front (as explained in the booklet), with "Liza Minnelli At Carnegie Hall - The Complete Concert" (featured on both discs).
The 24-page booklet included in this "fat box" double jewel case release includes extensive information on every song, on the show itself and on the technical side of this particular digital recording.
Track 1-11 is misattributed to Irving Mills/Duke Ellington (orch. Fred Werner), published by Warner Bros., Inc. (ASCAP).
A one-sided sheet included with the album reads:
Erratum
Our sincere apologies to Fred Ebb and John Kander for inadvertedly attributing the selection Ring Them Bells to Duke Ellington and Irving Mills (who did write a song with a similar title).
Based on a true story, Ring Them Bells is one of the many pieces of material specially tailored for Liza Minnelli by her close partners, Fred Ebb and John Kander. Absent in recent years from her programs, it reappears on these performances to resounding cheers.
