Melody's first album for 9 years.Although considered part of his soca period, it is not in this style, which was invented by Lord Shorty a year after the album's release.
The album is written as Lord Melody Say Mas Is Devil Power on the cover.
He had recorded a number of singles and compilation tracks in the years between, but never a full album. He had been busy working for Harry Belafonte in New York, and was making enough money doing that.
The track Going Home is a rewritten version of "My Father's Kingdom" from his album "Mas Is Devil Power".
The song Melvina is misspelt Meluina on the back of the LP.
