"These recordings were made in Paris by Leonard Ripley on S.A.R.E.G. tape machines and using a special set of matched Telefunken M-221 condenser microphones. These tapes were edited in the New York studios of ELEKTRA and were mastered on a modified Presto 8DG lathe (Bartok Studios) equipped with a fully automatic margin control, a Grampian cutterhead and a heated ANM stylus. This recording conforms to the RIAA curve. We recommend that wide range equipment users set their controls accordingly."
