Notes on the back cover: "Formed in Uruguay in 1964, these BEATLES DEL RIO DE LA PLATA were pioneers in South America with their infectious take on Merseybeat. That the music of Hugo, Osvaldo, Pelín and Caio is more inventive and strikingly original than one might initially assume becomes abundantly clear on ¡POR FAVOR!, the first Los Shakers retrospective to be issued outside Latin America.
Note inside the booklet: "English titles are not literal translations of the original Spanish, rather they are paraphrases of title and lyric as interpreted by the compiler. For example, the Spanish title 'Mas Largo Que El Ciruela' literally means 'larger than a plum tree', but the English lyric is clearly sung as 'higher than a tower'. Some tracks have appeared previously with differing English titles."
