Producer's discographical notes: Annotator Joe Muranyi credits band members Scoville Browne and Harry Dial for providing him with the more unusual data above, regarding the April drumming changes and Bill Oldham's use of tuba and trombone. This may well have been Big Sid Carlett's first recording session; undoubtedly it was the first of his very many appearances with Armstrong. Dial's presence on the final session seems further verified by the fact he and Zilner Randolph are listed as composers of "Don't Play Me Cheap."
