This is the debut EP from the unit LOWER THAN GOD, formed one extremely hot summer night during a period of Covid-19 “stay-at-home” self-restraint by American-born multi-player DJ malo23 (Marc Lowe) and underground music DJ and blogger DJ Necronomicon (Goda Takeshi) in a state verging on madness. Goda’s derailed improvisatory style and Lowe’s electronic production tramples on every possible genre — Industrial, Noise, Ambient, Drone, IDM, Free Improvisation, Psychedelic — and the confluence of their respective styles has created an unprecedented, absurd, blood-tinglingly aberrant new sound. It is the birth of “Improvised Intelligent Dance Music for the Mind & Body” in a new age.
