The other side has the following...

This record marks a journey far deeper than the music itself. It begin in Memphis, a city steeped in musical history, where I embarked on a pilgrimage with my dad, a lifelong devotee of the blues and the man who first opened my ears to the magic of music. Our temporary home, the Peabody Hotel, became an unexpected source of inspiration. Stepping off the elevator one afternoon I was met with ten ducks in perfect single file marching out onto a red carpet and guided by a slightly flustered bellman. The crowd erupted in cheers and applause as these ducks made their way towards the Grand Fountian, it was a moment of pure surrealism. The strangest yet most delightful thing I'd ever seen. My Dads face was beaming with childlike wonder. Little did I know the marching ducks were a daily Peabody tradition since the 1930's. This bizarre encounter with my Dad by my side still undoubtedly played a role in the musical spark captured in the Mnemonic. Its whimsical and playful reflecting the wonder and sense of wide eyed curiosity that echoes the feeling I shared with my Father. The journey from inspiration to final piece wouldn't have been possible without and incredible team. Huge thanks to Jackson George and Tom McDougall at Disney who supported me throughout this journey over the following two months my talented team members Max Sandler, Ngawang Samphel and Noah Gorelick played a vital role in exploring every creative avenue. We crafted a total of 40 variations together, we were fortunate to have the legendary Anthony Parnther conduct a full orchestra at the Warner Brothers Scoring Stage. His expertise infused the music with depth and vibrancy. Ngawang's masterful synth production and Chris Fogel's seamless mixing were the final touches. Weaving all the elements together into a cohesive piece. Looking back, the music feels deeply personal. It was sparked by a shared adventure with my Dad. The man who instilled in me a lifelong love of music. It also captures the wide eyed wonder sparked by a tradition nearly a century old. Its truly fitting that it now serves as the new Disney+ mnemonic. A reminder that magic can be found in the most unexpected places and often in the simplest moments shared with people you love.
