"People Like Me" was the 2nd album, 13 months after the debut LP "Hype". It was also the first studio album released through the Vodka Cat label.

Inspired by Michael Jackson, Prince and the 70s revival, "People Like Me" set the pattern for Luis' following albums: it was his first "concept project" about pop and relationships, combining kitsch, metapop, acoustic, dance and electronic sounds.
