This double single marks the first recording from "Lys Guillorn & Her Band," currently a power trio consisting of Guillorn backed by longtime drummer Peter Riccio and relative newcomer to the group Eric Bloomquist on bass. The three recorded at Gold Coast Recorders in Bridgeport in the Fall of 2015. It's somewhat of a departure from Guillorn's electrified indie-folk twang. Oh, this one? It's garage rock, like Nancy Sinatra on a grunge bender. "Sunny Side Down" was inspired by a diner order by Guillorn's friend Rachelle Kreisman. "Spin Cycle," which is more about personal politics than national politics, could certainly be applicable to both. The tune came out of a songwriters' group assignment. This marks the first in a series of recordings Guillorn intends to release on Little Cowgirl and elsewhere in 2016.released January 29, 2016
