Album Info

Release Date: 2011

Label: Mötley Records

Digitally remastered, expanded and updated 2011 edition of Greatest Hits (Europe) with slipcase cover. The word 'Europe' is absent from the front side of the slip case, but visible elsewhere on the packaging. This edition contains a DVD which is exclusive for the European market. The US edition contains a different DVD called "Crüe Fest 2: Behind The Scenes" and the Japanese edition contains also the "Live From Crüe Fest 1" DVD, but the non song entries (e.g. "Nikki Talks") are dropped from printed the tracklist.

This release coincided with the reissue of the band's first five albums in Europe.
Despite the packaging and the label side of the disc stating the album is made in the USA, the disc is actually pressed in Germany (as seen on the matrix/runout).

Strangely there's no DVD logo or any other info on the release itself, that "Live From Crüe Fest" is a DVD and not a CD.

Comparing to the "Greatest Hits" release from 1998 the song selection differs: "Bitter Pill", "Enslaved", "Glitter (Remix)" and "Shout At The Devil '97" are missing and "Shout At The Devil", "Too Young To Fall In Love", "Sick Love Song", "If I Die Tomorrow", "Saints Of Los Angeles" and "The Animal In Me (Remix)" are included instead.
Another difference is, that the songs are sorted in chronogical order on this release.

The remix of "The Animal In Me" is exclusive to this compilation.
