AWOKE represents the awakening of a musical work called "Hang". This magical percussion instrument brought up new possibilities for me as a musician and composer. On this Debut-CD are mainly Hang-solo-pieces but also two duets. SEVEN HILLS is the result of a session with Christoph "Pepe" Auer deep in the forest where one can really feel true silence and how beautifully music unites with nature. The sound of the Hang will take you on a journey where you experience vibrating sounds and spherical ADVENTURES. BEFORE I started writing my first Hang-solo-pieces, my idea was to compose for people who really take time to listen to music (of any genre). Making music and watching the reactions and emotions of the audience is one of the most beautiful and interesting experience for me. I'm convinced that music is HEALING for mankind. YING is a duet with Alex Mayer playing Didgeridoo (Yidaki). And finally SUNDAY should offer consolation, it's dedicated to Kathi and her Family.
"made in silence" is a very dynamic and ethereal sound, so I recommend listening to this album in calm surroundings.
