All Children love a band on parade. In Margret Wise Brown's "Little Brass Band", each of the instruments joins up with the band. They march into town, give a concert and return home.
The young child will hear the flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horns, trumpet, and drums play music written especially for this record by Walter Hendle, Assistant Conductor of the Philharmonic Orchestra of New York and composer of the music for "Dark of the Moon"
The music is contemporary in the fullest sense of the word and does not talk down to the child. Its striking tunes, harmony, and rhythm make for intriguing listening, and introduce the young child to the sounds of a modern orchestra.
