When Juan Gabriel's contract with RCA Mexicana was terminated, they made lots of attempts to confuse the public to continually buy LPs of his under their label: compilations with new titles. His new label Ariola, launched Juan Gabriel - Juan Gabriel Con Mariachi...Mis Ojos Tristes, RCA attempted to recreate the cover art, switched some words of the new LP's title and added "En Línea Económica" (budget line) to their cover to sway buyers.

Cuando Juan Gabriel terminó su contrato con la RCA Mexicana, estos intentaron seguir vendiendo discos de recopilación bajo nuevos títulos. En su nueva disquera, Ariola, se lanza Juan Gabriel - Juan Gabriel Con Mariachi...Mis Ojos Tristes, la RCA recrearon la portada, utilizaron un título similar y agregaron "En Línea Económica" a la portada para confundir y convencer al público.
