Transmission Impossible by Marillion

Artists

Album Info

Release Date: 2024

Label: Eat To The Beat

CD 1 includes a selection of demos and rehearsals going right back to 1979 when the band was still named Silmarillion. When Fish joined the group in 1981, the name was shortened. This set of recordings include the very first rehearsal with Fish on-board, alongside recordings made at The Enid’s studio in 1979 and 1980.

CD 2 features Marillion’s performance at Reading Festival in August 1983, a show recorded for live transmission and broadcast simultaneously. Still promoting their debut album, Script For A Jester’s Tear at the time, Marillion played a dynamic 75-minute set.

CD 3 features Marillion’s show in Berlin, on 18th June 1988, about a month before Fish left the band in July.

CD2 of this set is a copy of the fourth disc of https://www.discogs.com/release/2137689-Marillion-Early-Stages-The-Official-Bootleg-Box-Set-1982-1987 - the audio on the discs is bit-perfect identical with the exact same track points.
