This album is a Marillion first - it is a double-album: a full 2CDs of brand new Marillion music.
The pre-order version (known as the Deluxe Campaign Edition) of Marbles was packaged as a 128-page hard-bound book with lyrics and housed in an oversized rigid slip case (16 x 16 cm). The CDs are held by CD foam holders on the first and last page of the book.

The Deluxe Campaign Edition has sold out and is no longer available, but the 'Standard' 2CD Jewel Case version will be available indefinitely; the full 2CD version of the album is only available from this website (the Racket Records Download version of this release is the full double album).
The Marillion fans who pre-ordered the album through the Web fanclub have their names mentioned in the CD-Booklet as a "thank you" from Marillion.
A 1CD version of Marbles was released to retail shops world-wide. The European release added the bonus track You're Gone (Single Mix) and the North American release added an enhanced portion with the promo video to Don't Hurt Yourself.

Mastered at Super Audio Mastering.
Written, recorded and mixed at The Racket Club, Buckinghamshire, for the whole of 2002, 2003 and the beginning of 2004 Phew... Take the rest of the day off, Dave...
