"This work involves a process of audification of the seismological data record, which occurred in the area of New York State, New Jersey, and New England during the collapse of the World Trade Center buildings on September eleventh. ... The registration includes four events, two impacts and the two collapses along with the inbetween sounds of the drone of the earth. ... This work stands not as a memorial but as an action of affect, where global terrain's become a sounding board, a bell-like alarm denoting histories in the making."

Release is one of four 10"-es presented during "Sound as a Weapon", an art event curated by De Player in Rotterdam.

Edition of 10 copies numbered on the protective sleeve (blue pencil) and on the record (etched). No sleeve, no printed labels. Data is etched into the vinyl. Signed insert.
