Three pieces of improvised music for acoustic guitar & amplified piano & fourteen pieces for solo guitar & banjo.
Special 4 LP box set consists of two entire works feat. Molacg (part 1 & 2) & Tar Gui (test press/white label). Limited to 5 copies with three 12 page booklets, guitar tablature, reviews, large color photos, artwork & more.

"Molacg" is a collective work consisting of five improvisations spread over two vinyl albums. The three duo recordings were recorded in 2012 and the two solo guitar tracks are from 2023 and 2024. "Molacg" draws on a multitude of different musical traditions and references. Here there are no boundaries between genres, just music. The music is fabulating and searching and unfolds in long and linear improvisations that are full of dynamics and complexity and take shape like an endless rag rug that keeps shedding colors.

Tar Gui is played by real hands in the present. It's recorded as heard, and each take is a whole take of something real (no overdubs). The album consists of 10 pieces for guitar and 2 for banjo. It is an album full of decolorization, beauty spots, open wounds, small animals, love, rashes and other qualities.

"music is always tied to tradition, but it still feels like a memorable event when a musical voice really manifests itself. That is the case with Danish guitarist martin kirkegaard, who has managed to create a sound that is his own, but still spun from many musical threads".
Jakob Baekgaard (From the article "Steel string stories" from All about Jazz, 2024)

"It is quite an achievement to create a double LP of sharply focused improvised instrumental sound, so hats off to these two very talented musicians for this fascinating, essential release". (Glenn Kimpton, KLOF mag, UK)
