Sold as part of the Akira Kurosawa Film Music Complete Records: Middle Volume (A.K.A.: Film Music of Akira Kurosawa The Complete Edition Vol. 2) box set and on its own. Bonus tracks include the mono version of the Young Samurai Theme record single, unused material and outtakes. Music composed and conducted by Masaru Sato. All music is in mono.

The score was recorded on December 22 and 23, 1961 at the Toho Recording Center.
