Attention: The disc described here was issued with artwork similar to the one used for the "Byrd Song" album issued on Simax PSC 1191. This was certainly a printing mistake. The second artwork shown is taken from AllMusic for a GMN release with the same title and catalog number. This second artwork is likely the good one.

The liner notes of this GMN release are silent about the movements composing the six Suites and the Flatt consort. The same program of Locke compositions was recorded again on Linn Label in November 2017. This Linn 2017 release identifies the composition movements. The movement names on the Linn release have been carried over to the GMN release.
