Album Info
Release Date: 1985Labels: Statik Records, Sire
Super Cassette; Dolby HX Pro.All material recorded between August and December 1980 at Studio Marko, Montreal, P.Q.
Combines the first Men Without Hats EP, "Folk Of The 80's", with their then-current "Freeways" single. "Freeways" did not appear on any full-length album of original material.
This version of "Antarctica" is different than those found on the 1982 "The Safety Dance" and "Antarctica" singles and all CD issues of the "Rhythm Of Youth" album.
The differences between the mixes of "Freeways" are mainly in the lyrics being sung.
"(Super 87)" contains lyrics in English.
"(Nationale 7)" contains lyrics in French.
"(Europa 8)" contains lyrics in German.
"(Euromix)" extends the track and uses verses from all three languages.
Artwork doesn't list "Freeways (Euromix)" and lists the B-side tracks in the incorrect order. Correct track order is in the tracklist here.
Freeways is dedicated to Bill St-Georges.
