"This CD-R release from Metropol is the culmination of a handful of live sets performed in the past year, including the Pastel Voids night hosted at Bossa Nova Civic Club during Summer 2016. C. Perez uses the project Metropol as a tool to reconcile senses of displacement and pride that comes from growing up as first generation in Brooklyn, a place impossible to pinpoint under one cultural influence and an attitude that refuses to die. Touching upon these subjects in previous tapes for PV, 'FOR MORE HMU @MXTRXPXL' uses the less nostalgia associated CD-R format to create a blueprint for moving the Metropol project forward sonically and conceptually on the dance floor and off."
