Recorded in Vermont amidst sessions for a forthcoming solo LP, Nau gifted us ‘Love Survive,’ a buoyant psych-pop number with a doo-wop feel. Backed vocally by his wife and longtime bandmate Whitney McGraw, it’s futile to argue with their unrelenting chemistry. This certainly is his ‘conquering song.’

We caught up with Michael in Nashville prior to relocating back to Maryland, his home state with his family. You’ll hear him speak to the dangers of overthinking a record and how he’s learned to not to look to hard for themes, rather choosing to let an album take whatever shape it requires.
