This CD was included in the complete 8 VHS series "Il Etait Une Fois ... L'Espace" but also in the box set "La Revanche Des Humanoïdes". A little later, Loga-Rythme will edit an integral version of the soundtrack of the series Michel Legrand - Il Était Une Fois... L'espace (Bande Originale Du Dessin Animé) .

The soundtrack of the series was composed by the famous French composer Michel Legrand and dates from 1982, but had never been released on vinyl. Only the 45 rpm Michel Legrand - Il Etait Une Fois... L'Espace (Bande Originale De La Serie Televisee) of opening credits and a LP Michel Legrand - Il Était Une Fois... L'espace (Du Cote D’Andromède) telling the story were pressed. It was not until 1999 and 2001 that all of the compositions surfaced.
