Nigel One's new label Intimate Venues has just released its' first official release and the first offering is a midtempo deep house affair from Florida based producer Midik. The finished product is 4 solid tracks that give a friendly wave in the direction of much of the 90s era house music that looks to be the root of Intimate Venues as a label. Although it has a very nostalgic feel it takes hints of new styles of production comparable to that of Falty DL, Trus'me and Floating Points. Even with it's new feel this release will be sure to get positive nods from even the most pure of house purists. Also we get a stellar remix from NYC up and comer Policy who has been making big waves with his recent releases on Rush Hour and Argot Records.
