From the liner notes:"After several kontributions to our kompilations this is thee first full release from Misantronics for thee Sombre Soniks label.
From thee Artist:
"Inspired by Arthur Schopenhauer, Misantronics comes up with something a bit more clear and understandable than on his previous albums. This album is dedicated to 'The Art of Being Right: 38 Ways to Win an Argument (Eristische Dialektik: Die Kunst, Recht zu Behalten; Schopenhauer, 1831)'. The idea comes from the notion that many people indeed try to out-argue others without any regard to logic or reason, only for the sake of winning the discussion.
The music on 'Eristic Dialectics' can mostly be described as dark ambient with influences from downtempo electronics, industrial and noise. Some of the songs, including 'Victory Despite Defeat', contain processed field recordings from the Incubate festival in Tilburg (NL). Other instruments used include guitars, software, drums, violin and bass guitar." "
