Documentary is the third studio album released by Hata Motohiro. "Kyou mo Kitto" was used as the theme song for the TV program Meza News~ and "Boku no Ima Iru Yoru wa" was used as the campaign song for FM802 "ACCESS Campaign". The album was released in three versions: a limited CD+DVD edition (type A), a limited 2CD edition (type B) and a regular CD-only edition. The DVD contains footage from the final performance of Hata's acoustic tour GREEN MIND 2010, and the second CD contains cover songs. Both limited editions were housed in a cardboard case. Customers who bought the limited editions of "Toumei Datta Sekai", "Metro Film" and Documentary could submit applications that accompanied the three releases together to receive a GREEN MIND 2010 photobooklet. The album reached #3 on the Oricon weekly charts and charted for 21 weeks.
