Lizard on Ice is a hip-hop album. It’s an idea that went from being a personal challenge to try and make hip-hop beats to independently releasing this album on vinyl.

It is the brainchild of Bjarni Rafn Kjartansson/Muted, a 25 year old from Egilsstaðir
Iceland.

The album was recorded and written between October 2012 and January 2013 somewhere deep in Muted’s HQ in Fellabær.

The influences came from many directions, synthesizers were played, old sci-fi movies sampled, hip-hop acapellas used and a lot of old vinyl recycled.

Combining these elements to his expertise, field recordings, Muted created some kind of a hip-hop album.

Every copy handmade by Muted.
