Because of flaws in the mix, in 2023, this release was deleted and replaced on archive.org by a corrected, multi-track release named "THE AMBIENT COLLECTION (2023 Remaster)".

This compilation is a kind of "Young Person's Guide to Muzak For Cages". If you never before heard of "Muzak For Cages" this "Megamix" of their Ambient work might give you an idea, what they are about. It includes several tracks mixed together for one CD-long experience, such as slow, meditative music, Drones and experimental, even hypnotic pieces. This can be used as BGM for certain kinds of meditation or hypnosis.

The tracks originate on the Muzak For Cages albums: "TRYPTICHON", "SILENCE", "ß", "MUSIK FÜR VIRTUELLE ORGEL", "LIGHT MUSIC", "THE DAWN PRAYER", "SLOW GLOW GLOWING SLOW" and "POOL OF VISIONS".
