Music can seem both real and unreal, and its ability to render certain scenarios and situations depends in part on what means are used. One way to add to a sense of "reality" is to use actual recordings of atmospheres-- field recordings. This album, "Nocturne", is a combination of field recordings, phonographic collages, and sample work, created primarily to evoke places and times important to the composer.

Thanks first to Jerry for the drums and Royce Lee for the arpeggio sequence and other sounds on "Weird Love". Thanks also to CYSTEM for the abstract guitar noises on "Nocturne".
