Album Info

Label: Not On Label

Original boxed version.
Initial copies included a cassette of the Western Works demo recordings plus an interview with John Peel.
Initial copies seen with printed labels or sometimes labels were added to the box so that buyer can attach them. These labels have the "Limited Edition" info printed, as well as "Special Presentation Box Set" mention.

Only print on front box cover : gold print and white typo on black.
All song and gig info uncredited.

This edition being pressed early 80s (81-83) as it got featured in the "History In cuttings" 2nd edition book dated 04/83 (https://www.joydiv.org/bk13.htm).

First 4 labels (sides A-D) are white, but with a lila touch and sides E-F are white. The reissue has all white labels though.

Runouts are hand etched and refer to mastering engineer Jack Adams ("JA"), who was seen to have worked with mastering studio "Tape One" since 1981. Obviously those were not involved in the making of this unofficial release.

Inner sleeves : paper die-cut with trimmed curved corners and print :
"ENVELOPE MADE IN WESTERN GERMANY" at the bottom on 1 side.
These sleeves are to be found mostly on UK releases from that era.
