All the tests on this record can be made without the use of test equipment - simply by listening to the record. A more accurate analysis of the equalization can be made by connecting a flashlight bulb across the speaker terminals. Adjust the output level to a point where the lamp barely lights. About the same light intensity should be produced for all tones. If suitable test equipment is available, highly accurate results approximating labortory standards can be obtained with many of the tests on this record.
Turntable wow and flutter can be noted by use of any of the tones, while low freqency signals can be used to check standing waves in a room.
