Ring (Reng = رنگ) is one of the main forms in the line of Iranian music that is played for joy and dance and its rhythm is usually sixt-eight and especially the percussion pattern of "mother's milk" is common in it. Reng is a kind of music making and singing has no role in it. The Reng is usually played at the end of the instrument and after the compositions and songs.

According to musicologists, Reng is probably one of the oldest forms of Iranian music. However, the form of Reng as we know it today was probably invented in the contemporary period and was probably invented by Darvishkhan (درویش‌خان)
