When you hear a rhythmic clack and clatter, whir and zing of rolling wheels, toot of a whistle and a chorus of bells clanging by, you're experiencing one of America's favorite ways to travel, Riding Trains. This two-disc audio set takes you aboard a variety of current and historic equipment and trackage, some of which no longer exists. Long passages were recorded over jointed and welded track, on bridges, through passes, over switches and crossings, with all the whistles, bells and clatter you'd expect from sometimes relaxing, sometimes thrilling train rides.
