This megamix was sold at the Roadium Swap Meet, La Mirada Swap Meet and other swap meets in L.A. for a few months before the first half of each megamix was re-released as a Vinyl 12" on Z-Rock Records under a different artists name.

A real copy of this mix tape is easy to identify. Compare the 'Freestyle Mix' of the 12" where it fades out to the 'Freestyle Mix' side of the cassette. An original tape continues where the 12" fades with no fading. A fake is basically the 'Master Mix 89' 12" plus other DJ megamix 12" records mixed together, and the Master Mix 89 part is mixed to the next record before the record fades out.

Side A & B are switched on some copies.

Some cassettes say "Hype Mix" instead of "Freestyle Mix"
