After several years of quiet experimentation, Plant Life marks the debut physical release from Oahu - three experimental minimal ambient electronic compositions recorded in March and April of 2016 available in a limited run cassette edition via Second House.

Each Oahu release involves a different approach to sound making, for Plant Life the following instrumentation was employed:

cassette loops
various small synthesizers
delay pedals in a feedback loop
Fostex and Tascam four track recorders
one tiny speaker
Tascam DR-05 digital handheld recorder
drum machine
Track 3 (Redwood) was made with Korg LittleBits, and a sample from FM3 Buddha Machine 5
