First Pressing + faint small titles on cover front, which is how the cover was originally designed.Second Pressings had an ugly brown box over printing these titles - with larger titles so they would stand out for buyers. However, these are not in keeping with the original cover design and look terrible.
Track D5 "Cool Down Version" has a skip in the actual recording of the source record (i.e. this LP does not physically skip). This is apparent in all copies, including the CD releases.
All tracks mixed at King Tubby's Studio, 18 Drummlie Avenue, Kingston 11, Jamaica.
Recorded Kingston, Jamaica 1973/1976.
Mastered and Edited, PTR Studios, London.
All Tracks Copyright Control. Made in England. (Note on Label)
Dedicated to the memory of Osbourne Ruddock 1941-1989
Released in a gatefold sleeve.
Slightly different variant of Trojan TRLD 409 from other gatefold version King Tubby, Observer Allstars, The Aggrovators - King Tubby's Special 1973-1976
This variant has smaller light brown font lettering for title and artist graphics as opposed to the large brown and yellow title and artist banners on the front cover artwork of the other aforementioned repress variant (see images of both)
Also this variant has similar matrix/runout etchings to the other except for side C&D has slightly different etchings of C1 & D1 respectively as opposed to A1 & B1 on sides C & D on the other one.
Also the lettering on the labels of this variant have a slightly different layout and spacing than the labels for the repress variant.
