Golden Opportunities 3 consists of five covers of songs by Wang Chung ("Dance Hall Days"), George Benson ("Give Me The Night"), the Brains ("Money Changes Everything," which was popularized by Cyndi Lauper), Roseanne Cash ("Seven Year Ache") and Don Henley ("The End Of Innocence").

At the request of Don Henley's attorneys, Okkervil River removed "The End Of The Innocence" from the Golden Opportunities 3 free download in 2014. Currently (2021) all Golden Opportunities downloads have been deleted.
