The name of this record "Don't Let Your Deal Go Down" says a lot about where this band was at the time when we decided to make this record. Tired of being an under dog we decided we needed to show the world what this band could really do. Winter was coming on strong in the mountains of Floyd County, Virginia and we were broke, could barely pay our rent let alone hire a professional studio to record a full length album. So we decided to take matters into our own hands. We bought some recording equipment on a credit card and setup a studio in a double-wide trailer on the farm. We called up Jake Hopping and Ben Townsend and sold them on our dream. They showed up for a week and this record was born. This music represents the condensation of a year’s worth of the toil, angst and joy of being in a band. Born to Lose… Maybe. Live to Win…Indeed and Always. We hope you love it as much as we have. This album is dedicated to Porter Guzmán, our beloved mascot and best friend, who was with us every step of the way. Gigs, tour truck, stages, hotel rooms, festivals. The jingle of his collar and the rattle of his barks just might be heard throughout this album.
