The first release by the post-punk band Orange Juice lead by Edwyn Collins and also the first release on Alan Horne's Postcard Records label.

Most versions also included a free flexi-disc featuring a live version of Felicity and a postcard. The flexi was on the I Wish I Was A Postcard label and came with issue 5 of 'Ten Commandments' fanzine and was also available separately from the Postcard offices. Felicity is credited to (James) Kirk.

According to a letter written by Alan Horne only 200 copies (approximately) came with the free postcard.
