Amor y salsa - 80 Aniversario is a posthumous album by Cuban musician Pablo Milanés, in which he surrounded himself with companions to pay tribute to his work, this time in a salsa version. A project that he recorded before his death with the help of talents such as Alejandro Sanz, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Andy Montañez, Juanes, Diego Torres, Oscar D’León, Rosario, Ismael Miranda, Luis Enrique, La India, Francisco Céspedes, Ana Belén, El Canario, Aymée Nuviola and Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Yotuel, Caco Senante, Víctor Manuelle and Isaac Delgado, and who have expressed their enormous admiration for the Cuban singer-songwriter.An album with classic songs by Pablo Milanés and some unreleased ones gathered in 18 collaborations and 2 songs that Milanés performed solo. They are songs taken to the salsa genre thanks to the arrangements of Dagoberto González Jr., who is the musical director and producer of this project. Recorded between Havana, Madrid, Miami, Puerto Rico, New Jersey and New York.
