Safe As Houses by Parenthetical Girls

Album Info

Release Date: 2006

Label: Acuarela

Safe As Houses was written, performed, and recorded on both cassette tapes and hard drives by Parenthetical Girls, in locales between Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington. This, of course, sans the indispensable contributions of Ambrose Nortness who played woodwinds on tracks four, six, eight, and nine - and Rachel Jensen - who played keyboard on track five. Though Safe As Houses - like all Parenthetical Girls releases - invariably features a number of questionable lyrical appropriations, one in particular would stand out as especially wince worthy were it to be acknowledged: that being a particularly evocative turn of phrase stolen from Richard Davies for track one.

Licensed exclusively for Europe from Slender Means Society (C) 2006, Safe As Houses BMI
